Today is National Doctors Day. I suppose one of those rare days you celebrate the life of a doctor. Incidentally I re-joined work today too! Terrified and shivering with first day jitters, I called a number of my friends, interrogating them about the department I was to join down to each minute of the day! They were sweet enough to escort me to all the places we, as interns, were needed and I had a lovely day! Saw maybe a total of 15-20 patients, wrote a couple of prescriptions and watched a few common outdoor procedures. Listening to the logic of diseases and surgical procedures and simple clinical examinations can sure make my day!
Above is a pic of the most amazing 2 interns I know. They have single-handedly managed a whole Unit in the Medicine ward and have, what one would call, street smartness. It is a joy and honor of its own to watch them on duty!
